Robert Princenthal, M.D.

MRI Prostate Imaging Expert Beverly HillsRobert Princenthal, MD is a board-certified radiologist with more than 25 years of expertise in diagnostic medical imaging. He is president and founding partner of Rolling Oaks Radiology, a network of outpatient imaging centers in Ventura County, California. Dr. Princenthal also serves as the medical co-director for RadNet’s Prostate MRI Program.

Dr. Princenthal attended medical school at Penn State College of Medicine at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. His internship was completed at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. He completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Yale University School of Medicine at New Haven Hospital and a fellowship in body imaging and interventional radiology at the University of California, San Diego.

As president of Rolling Oaks Radiology, Dr. Princenthal has seen the difference in patient outcomes that an early, accurate diagnosis of cancer provides. This is why he has been instrumental in bringing some of the most advanced cancer detecting technologies to Ventura County patients and referring physicians.

In 2009, Dr. Princenthal was mentored by Peter Choyke, MD (NIH) and Jelle Barentsz, MD, (Holland) the leading experts in Prostate MRI. The knowledge he gained from these world-renowned physicians propelled him to bring the latest prostate imaging techniques to Ventura County.

Invivo Corporation recognized this and selected Rolling Oaks Radiology as a beta site for their MRI computer assisted detection (CAD) software in 2009. The center was then chosen to be one of the first five radiology centers to perform MR guided prostate biopsy.

Currently, Dr. Princenthal is a consultant to GE Healthcare to improve their prostate MRI 3T imaging protocols. He is also a consultant to Invivo, and has helped establish a MRI/TRUS fusion program utilizing UroNav for a major urology practice in Beverly Hills. He has read more than 3,000 prostate MRI studies. He also has numerous prostate MRI publishing credits. He continues to be an advocate and educator of men’s health by giving lectures across the country.

Besides his dedication to medicine Dr. Princenthal enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, their children and grandkids. He is a prolific golfer and tennis player. He is an amateur photographer and is known for his travel photography portraits. An additional passion is being an avid audiophile.

Martin Cohen, M.D.

Dr Martin Cohen

Dr. Martin Cohen is the co-director of the Prostate MRI Program at the Prostate Cancer Institute of LA. Dr. Cohen has more than 25 years of experience and is one of the leading prostate MRI experts in the country.  Dr. Cohen is dedicated to providing the most advanced screening and staging techniques available for men with at risk of prostate cancer.

Dr. Cohen received his medical degree with highest honors from the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University in Chicago. He stayed on at Northwestern where he completed his residency in CT, MRI, general radiology and ultrasound. He was selected to be Chief Resident for the program during his final year.

He received advanced training from the University of California, San Diego as a fellow in Sectional Imaging and Interventional Radiology. Additionally, Dr. Cohen completed a PET Mini Fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles.

In addition to his clinical knowledge, Dr. Cohen is committed to working with non-profit organizations to increase public awareness about prostate cancer.  Dr. Cohen has played an active role in the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, California Radiological Society and the Society of Interventional Radiology.
